Quickstart

From zero to your first AI-visibility number in about ten minutes.

This walkthrough uses the Free plan; no card, no API keys required.

1. Create your account and organization

Sign up at the dashboard (or accept an invitation). During onboarding you create your organization — the billing and team container — and pick a plan. Free starts immediately.

2. Create your first project

Dashboard → New project: enter the website domain (e.g. acmecloud.io) and a display name. The project is the unit everything else attaches to: keywords, prompts, competitors, audits.

3. Add tracked keywords

Open SEO → Rank Tracking and add the keywords you care about — brand terms, product terms, comparison terms ("acmecloud vs hetzner"). Free plan tracks up to 10 keywords per project.

The daily rank-check job picks them up automatically; the Refresh button runs an immediate check. Rank data comes from the DataForSEO integration (see Data sources) — outside demo mode the integration must be configured; there is no silent fallback.

4. Add GEO prompts

Open AI Visibility and create the questions your customers actually ask AI engines:

  • "best cloud hosting for startups"
  • "hetzner vs digitalocean vs acmecloud"
  • "how to migrate a database to managed hosting"

Pick a category, the engines to run (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, …) and a cadence (daily/weekly). Free plan: 5 prompts per project, 10 GEO runs per day — note each prompt × engine counts as one run, so start with 1–2 prompts × 4 engines (4–8 runs); "Run all" across 5 prompts × 4 engines needs 20 runs and exceeds the Free daily quota.

5. Run your first GEO check

Click Run all (or run a single prompt). Each prompt × engine execution costs 1 credit — Free includes a one-time welcome grant of 50 credits at sign-up (paid plans grant credits with each billing period), enough for a full first sweep. Same-day re-runs replace that day's result snapshot (history is not duplicated), but each execution is billed per call — a re-run charges its credit again. The daily quota and your balance are checked before anything runs.

Within a few minutes you have your first numbers: mention rate, citation rate, share of voice and the per-engine breakdown.

6. Add competitors

SEO → Competitors → Add: name + domain (e.g. Hetzner, hetzner.com). Share of voice and the tracked-competitor gap analyses (keyword gap, intersection, backlink gap) are computed against these brands; competitor discovery is the reverse direction — it surfaces domains you haven't added yet.

7. Read your Growth Score

The dashboard's headline number combines AI visibility, SEO visibility, traffic opportunity and content opportunity into one 0–100 score — see Growth Score for the exact formula.

8. Ask the agent

Open AI Growth Agent and ask: "Why is my AI visibility low and what should I do first?" The agent answers from your own data (runs, citations, gaps, audit issues) with ranked recommendations. Agent chat costs 1 credit per message; a manual full diagnostic analysis costs 5 (the scheduled weekly analysis is free).

What to check weekly

  • AI Visibility — mention/citation trend per engine.
  • Content Gap — new keywords competitors win; generate a brief (10 credits by default) for the highest-value ones.
  • Recommendations — the agent's ranked list; mark items done as you ship.

Self-hosting? Everything above also works with the deterministic mock provider (DEMO_MODE=true, the default outside production) — useful for evaluating the product with zero external API keys.
