Domain Intersection
Keywords shared across your selected competitors — the category's common ground.
Gaps → Domain Intersection flips the gap lens: instead of what's missing, it shows the keywords shared by the competitors you select — the common ground of your category.
What you see
Select 2–4 competitors. The intersection lists every tracked keyword on which all selected competitors hold a top-20 position in the last 10 days of competitor rankings, with each competitor's position side by side. The table covers the selected competitors' positions — your own position for those keywords lives in Rank Tracking.
What it's for
- Category definition — the intersection of your two closest competitors is your head category, stated in keywords. These belong in your site's core pages, not scattered blog posts.
- Head-to-head scorecards — pick two competitors and see, on exactly the terms they contest with each other, who leads and by how much (check your own position for those terms in Rank Tracking).
- SERP contention — terms where four or five tracked domains all appear are the most contested (and usually the highest-value) slots; expect AI Overviews and featured snippets to concentrate there too (see SERP features).
Reading the table
Positions for each domain on each shared keyword make the relative strength visible at a glance: domains leading on most of the intersection are the ones whose content structure is worth studying.
