SERP Analytics

Who else ranks for your keywords, which SERP features appear, and where competitors share your SERPs.

SERP Analytics (SEO → SERP) works on the SERP snapshots that every rank check stores — no extra setup beyond tracking keywords.

SERP rows

For each tracked keyword, the snapshot records the domains that rank in the captured depth (platform setting, default 100 results). The page answers:

  • who ranks for your money keywords besides you,
  • how often each competitor domain appears across your keyword set,
  • position context — where they sit relative to you.

SERP features

Each rank snapshot can carry feature flags for the keyword. Be aware of what the current pipeline actually detects:

  • AI Overview — flagged by a demo-mode heuristic (deep SERP ⇒ likely an AI-generated answer block). Real SERP feature detection needs the SERP API's feature annotations and is not wired in yet; outside demo mode the feature list is empty rather than guessed.
  • featured snippet / People Also Ask / local pack — not detected today; they appear here as soon as a provider that annotates them is connected.

The feature panel aggregates flagged keywords and their share over the last 7 days. When AI Overview presence grows in your category, clicks redistribute — an early warning to double down on AI Visibility.

Competitor discovery

The snapshots also power automatic competitor discovery: domains that repeatedly share SERPs with you (above a minimum co-occurrence) are likely real competitors, even if you never listed them. Discovery reports overlap keywords, volume, average position and a competition score per candidate; drill into any candidate to see the exact co-occurring keywords.

Promote a discovered competitor to a tracked one in Competitors — that unlocks the Keyword Gap, Backlink Gap, Intersection analyses and the SOV side of AI Visibility against them. (Discovery itself excludes already-tracked competitors from its candidate list — it exists to surface new names.)

Snapshots accumulate daily as ranks refresh. Discovery gets sharper with a longer window — the default looks back 30 days and requires at least 2 co-occurrence days.
