Keyword Gap
Keywords competitors rank for and you don't — organized by who wins them.
Gaps → Keyword Gap answers a single question precisely: which keywords do competitors rank for that you don't?
What you see
For your tracked competitors, every keyword where at least one competitor holds a top-10 position and you rank worse than 10 (or don't rank at all), with:
- which competitor(s) rank and at what position,
- search volume,
- your own position (or "not ranking").
Choosing a competitor
Narrow the view to one competitor (the competitor selector) to get a clean "catch-up list" against them, or keep the multi-competitor view to see the whole category's whitespace.
Working a gap
A keyword appearing here is a candidate, not a verdict. The workflow:
- Sort by volume; pick gaps worth the effort.
- Check whether you already have a page that should rank — if yes, this is an optimization, not a new article.
- If no page exists, cross-check Content Gap & briefs: its list is computed independently (competitor top-10 and you rank worse than 15) and any gap there can be turned into a paid brief (10 credits) on demand.
- Add the keyword to Rank Tracking so progress is measured from day one.
